Ozark Caverns

The Most Affordable Cave Tour

If you're already taking a trip to Lake of the Ozarks State Park, you'll likely have the chance to see the remarkable caves scattered across the grounds. These caverns are created by persistent lake water eroding the underground rock over thousands of years.

While the dark conditions would seem unsuitable for wildlife, several species of bat, salamander, and bug have made the caves their home. You may see some of the creatures on a guided cave tour. It's a relaxing one-hour walk through the depths of the cave where you can learn about the cave formations and wildlife more in-depth.

Tour Admission

Adult: $10
Teenager (13-17): $8
Child (6-12): $6

While reservations are not required to tour the Ozark Caverns, it is recommended, as the cave tours are exceptionally popular among tourists. Place reservations when you get to the park or by calling in at 573-346-2500.

Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park

The Lantern Cave Tour

Bridal Cave is a popular cave on the south side of Lake of the Ozarks that offers both a standard tour and lantern tour. The standard tour will take you through the cave's highlights in normal lighting, but if you want to add dimmer lights and historic authenticity to the tour, the lantern tour is the way to go.

The only beacons you have will be your guide's lantern and your LED cavers helmet. It adds a sense of thrill to your caving adventure.

Reservations are required for lantern tours. You can make them by clicking the button.

Tour Admission

Is the Bridal Cave wheelchair / stroller accessible?

Unfortunately, there are no accommodations for wheels on the tour because of the way the cave formed, though there is wheelchair-accessible parking. While it's not the same, you can still check out the virtual tour if you want to know what's inside.
